Custom monograms look elegant on thank-you cards, at the top of menus, on napkins, and on the front cover of wedding programs. The price of the monogram will depend on the complexity of the design.

PenDance maintains the copyright to all monograms we produce. The cost of the monograms includes the right for personal use only, not for commercial purposes such as a company logo.

Monograms may be used for stationery, wedding maps, wedding programs, place cards, menus, napkins, matchbooks, wedding favors, and linens. If you have questions about other usage, please contact us.

Monogram Etiquette

Etiquette-wise, a "duo-gram" (using the first initials of the bride and groom and the initial of his last name) is used after the wedding ceremony, so it should not appear on the wedding program or stationery used prior to the wedding.

In the program cover sample at right, the couple used both their first and last initials intertwined with an ampersand. In another example a couple used their first initials (C & W) intertwined with a heart shape for the invitation and wedding program.

How to order a monogram

To create your custom monogram in hand calligraphy, we'll need the following information:

• Example(s) of design(s) that you like for use as a starting point
• The date you need the design
• The letters for the design and the order you want them to appear
• If want the middle letter larger (for the last name)
• Format desired (.tif, .pdf, .gif, .bmp, .jpg)
• Any special instructions provided by your stationer or printer

The price includes developing one design only. We will not create multiple designs on spec. If you really prefer to see several designs to choose from, additional design fees will apply.
